Calling all experts! Mystery part identification needed!

Hi all,

I've perused the forums for a while but never joined since I didn't have a BMW. I recently took ownership of a (new to me) 2016 428i not too long ago and I figured it was time. When I was cleaning the car I found a mystery part in the glove box. Please see the pictures attached.

Can anyone tell me where it belongs? I've googled the part numbers and even tried google image search but I didn't turn up any meaningful results.

The part number? that is on the part is:
7398775 L
There is also a small BMW logo next to the part number with the numbers 02 to the left of it.

Is part number is actually 7598775.

Full part number then would be 61 21 7598775.

I suspect what you're looking at is a broken handle off a car battery.
Could be a good thing if it means you have a new battery, otherwise not sure.

Check your battery and see if there is a handle missing?
