Anyone Here From like 10-12 Years ago?

Hey Guys! I havent posted here in AGES! This Forum really helped fuel my passion for cars and for BMWs. Is there anyone still around from over a decade ago?

Started out on Roadfly. BCG, Sharks in the Wild. Damn, I need to get that thing back on the road. Started getting busy after 05 and parked it in the garage. Couple of years ago I refreshed most of the systems and had it running but still need to finish it up.

Just barely ten years for me! Joined BFc in early '09. I didn't have an E24 then, but I fixed that eventually.

Roadfly from 1991 I think but posted with a different name, JohnD back then. There were several trying to use the same name on different boards so I switched to Kenneth1948.
The board helped keep my '79 633 Euro on the road until I lost it along with another 633 in the recession about 12 - 14 years ago.
Just bought an '84 633 last week, be it ever so humble but at least it's a sixer, pretty rough but it runs and drives and it's a 5 - speed. They're getting hard to find at least on my budget. Looking forward to being back on the board. John Kenneth

Nice, 633 CSi 5 speeds are under rated. They love the twisty bits!

11 years here and Roadfly before that. Sold my last E24 two years ago but couldn’t resist the pull of an E39.

This one has over 315K miles that's about 506K kilometers and it needs new shocks and has some clanks and rattles in the suspension. Not quite ready for the twisty bits yet. I live in North Carolina and drove the Tail of the Dragon once but with the family aboard my 733 so not much spirited driving there! I cut my driving teeth on the back roads of New Zealand so manual gearboxes and twisty bits are in my blood.

I bought my E24 in December 1997; discovered Roadfly and BCG shortly after that. Moved on to this forum and BigCoupe years later as Roadfly faded away and BCG shut down. Still have the E24, only now it has a proper manual tranny, a few more mods, and ~15K more fair-weather miles.

Five years ago I added the 535is so I do often visit "the" E28 forum (you know the one). But I like the company here.
