I have been here about that long. Bought my M635CSi in 2008. Then my E46 touring in 2009(to haul the tire and wheel package I wanted for the E24). A few BMW forums have been there for me during the last decade (BigCoupe, Fanatics, now 5series, and of course bimmer)
These days married with fam...in the city. Time, parking, and money all seem to be in high demand these days.

I'm a noob having joined in 2011. But glad to be here and get useful advice and wisdom. This is one of the more polite and respectful blogs along with bigcoupe.

Does anybody remember "LARSOLDBIMMERGUY" from the Roadfly forum? I think he lived in Bend, OR (used to joke about it being tagged "Bend Over"). I wonder what ever happened to him.
I remember Lars with a very, very wry and bright sense of humor. IIRC he had a banana yellow car and lived in a mobil home and did know the cars well!

I am, now and then. Haven't done any work on my 635 in a while due to an unfinished shop, life changes, and a million other things. I go out and look at her, sitting on blocks, and damn near cry. Soon.

Yes, on Bimmerforums since mid-2007. I don't have my '83 633csi 5 speed any more though. My son just picked up a 1977 built 630csi with a 4 speed. Near mint except it needs to be repainted. Driving that has put the bug back in me for another one! That's what brought me to this forum. Haha!

I joined a while ago (15 years?) and still here, mostly on the e21 forum. Many e21 owners are on Facebook, but I like the old forum better.
I used to have a black 85 Euro 635csi with the M tech kit and OZ wheels, sold it to a guy in Overland Park, KS in 2005 or 2006, don't know where it is now. Hopefully the car is still around. I wish I'd kept the car, I really miss it...
Before bimmerforums it was roadfly with mye28/bigcoupe and yahoo groups (e21) in the late 90's… Time flies.

Hey, I remember Bert, Lars, Larry, and Kai Xing. Had 5- E24 since 1988 and on BCG, Roadfly, Big Coupe then faded away onto Bimmmerboard with my E38 (2001-present). Sold my last 86 Euro E24 stroker in 2014 and looking to buy it back this weekend and bring it back to former glory. Bought a 928S4 after going through withdrawal selling the E24.
Anyone remember the very first Pacific Shark meet at small park by PCH in Newport Beach before it became Pacific Sharkfest?

Hello! I joined in 2007 but never visited the e24 forum until today! I picked up an 87 m6 last weekend and I have been working hard to get a few small things sorted. I was over at the bigcoupe forum but they dont seem to be very friendly to newbies or just not a lot of traffic. All the best.

Does anybody know how I can contact Kai from Roadfly? I know he was one of the founders of SE Sharkfest and I've tried to contact him through that website but I'm not sure if my message got through. I believe he was studying to become an air traffic controller and my daughter is very interested in that field.
