Hey all, I'm thinking about selling my trusty M3. Problem is i can't quite get a handle on what to ask for it. What do you all think? Here's the rundown:

What would you buy instead?
If I sell it I think I’ll get a Cayman. Something newer/nicer that my wife and I can both drive more often. This car isn’t getting used enough. :/
I’m working on a lemons E30 for #becauseracecar stuff.
It’s tough because the car is in its natural form... a dual purpose car for street and track. What an M3 is supposed to be. These days, it seems that people are either looking for an un-modded survivor, or an all out track toy. However, it seems like you are closer to a track car than street car with all the mods. But then there are different classes/rules. Biggest thing is no full cage. I ended up buying an ugly street car with no rust and begin the process of making it more of what you already have. I’ve put $14 into the car and parts and still only have 1/2 of your list of mods. But it’s mine, it hasn’t let me down on track, and each day is a new adventure.
I’ve only used it one season. But if things went bad for me and my family and I was able to sell at $10k... the $4k in fun I had working on and tracking that car was worth every penny!
To bring this full circle, my wife and I both started tracking on our 2016 M3. Coilovers, brakes, sway bars, and soon to come 1/2 cage and seats. It’s a DCT. Got the e36 so we didn’t have to “share” a car and I really wanted a stick. This car is way more fun!

Id say ask 14 ish
let it go for 11 ish when a guy from NY pms u.....lol
who wants a dual purpoose car??????......wink wink
so where was coolant going?.......and now?...still ?
Depends on how quick you want it gone IMO. I sold out of a similar car with a lower end suspension for $11k. $14k seems like a good starting point and take the first offer over $12.5k if you want it gone quick.
Personally, I think you will regret it going to a Cayman at the end of the day and dealing with Pcar maintenance issues and consumable costs. Maybe keep the M3 and get a more fun DD?

I posted it yesterday and got several nibbles so far. I think the price is right including the two sets of wheels/tires and spares. It has $4k in suspension with less than ten events on it. :/
^Yeh.. there's a chance i'll end up regretting this. There's no question for a sub $15k track car this is it. I'm close to keeping it and putting an S54 in it and going nuts and screwing my TT class rules. That'd be fun, but realistically i'm not sure i have the time for it with the E30. Time is tight so something newer/nicer that i could get more regular use out of is compelling.

Great ad! GLWS, will pass it along to the local chapter at our upcoming event.
Welp, the car is sold. An end of an era. Luckily i still have the E30 to keep me hanging around this forum. Going on 15 damn years!
