It seems that whenever I attempt to upload a picture, it gets turned (rotated, not flipped...) upside-down. Even if I manually turn it upside-down to counteract this behavior, it still ends up upside-down...
Why is this?

I have the same problem. I am not hosting it externally but uploading directly to the forum From Computer.
Uploaded to forum on left and original on my computer on right:
Edit: surprisingly these screenshots were not flipped. If a take a screenshot and save it as a new file it uploads okay. But the original pictures does not.

Screenshot and saved as new file:
The original picture was taken with a Google Pixel 2 phone. Automatically backed up to Google Photos. Then downloaded from photos.google.com using Chrome on a Windows 10 desktop. I then made a new post and tried to upload the image to the forum. Same thing happened in this post as you can see above.

This is still happening today. Same pics and I tried both in Chrome and Firefox. Anyone else having this issue with similar workflow?

It's still happening. Of the 5 pictures I just uploaded, ONE came out correct. All were taken on the same Samsung Galaxy J3 Luna Pro device, the same physical orientation, checked in GIMP for proper orientation and BimmerForums still has an 80% failure rate.
Nothing is more triggering than seeing one of the rarest E38 750IL's upside-down in a tech thread...

I must say that is beyond weird... let me check to see if we have all the latest updates. I can't see how that would be anything custom on our end, but you never know these days.
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
Seems like you are not the only person experiencing this though...
