Hey everyone, i am trying to verify that I have VANOS wired up to my MS3x correctly before i actually turn it on...I have my turbo m52b28 swapped e30 running and driving great at the moment and am slowly turning on more funcitons as I am getting the base tune solidified. Right now the car runs great and has safe AFR's up to 13psi so far, and I want to start turning on VANOS.
The big question I have is if I in fact need a relay or high side driver in between the megasquirt and the VANOS solenoid. I have it wired in directly to the VVT output currently, but one of my buddies has me questioning if that is correct. I have searched and searched and haven't been able to come up with anything. I really don't want to activate it and fry my board at this point since the car is really starting to come together and is drivable now.
Thanks in advance.
Single VANOS is just on/off, and can wire to the VVT output. It's the double-VANOS setups that need a high side driver.
