I got a new one. Apparently I am being punished for not driving the car often enough.
I have error table 1b, code 84. DSC Message Timeout.
Could my DSC module have crapped out on me out of spite?
Anyone run into this error before?
DSC light is on, as is the ABS light, but otherwise everything works as normal.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
Did the battery run low?
I would clear, drive, and see if it comes back.

No updates on the issue, but then again I didn't drive the SG since the last post update.
I am going to replace the pressure sensor and see if that makes any difference.
Today's codes are 1b-84, 1b-87

Maybe I need to find a fancier diagnostic tool.

I am guessing these codes are coming from the DME using some horrendously primitive code reader. VSS is supplied by the ABS system. DSC is supplied by the ABS system. No communication, no data stream, lights on.... I'd say you need to have a chat withthe ABS computer.
So yes, you need INPA or better.
Or you could ship it up here and we'll get it straightened out.

I'll have you know my code reader is state of the art circa 2001.
FCX II, don't google it, the company may be out of business.

1991, actually. That thing tapping out hexidecimal codes like a trained mule tapping its hoof, that you then had to decipher with a magic decoder booklet. It was obsolete the day OBD2 hit the streets. Alas, due to savvy marketing, they bamboozled many into believing their output was somehow superior to a real scanner, doing years of damage to the community, selling many many unneeded O2 sensors, and delaying their demise for several years. Yes, they are deceased now, and I hope my "glowing" reviews of their products over the years helped them to that final destination.
Too bad the Chinese ripoff clone, the B800, lives on carrying the same mistakes and misprints as the original.
Surely you have an on old laptop you can dedicate to being a scanner, and someone in the house capable of installing INPA. <big grin> Abel's thread is current on the first page here. It has the latest and most complete installation.

But I have the FCX Version 2! Its much better than the original.

That only counts if it's Estoril.
