Looking to purchase some new wheels for my 2002 e39 525i Touring. Need advice.

Hey all, recently came of ownership of a silver 2002 e39 longroof 525i, and I wanted to get some fresh new wheels to replace the stock wheels. I'm deciding between an 18 and 19 inch wheel with staggered widths.

I should mention that This is kind of just a daily driver (that I drive in all seasons) until something happens and I have an excuse to start a nice build. So that means I am not too worried about unsprung weight.

Here's some of the options I am considering:

    Some good ol PS7s

Rotiform LAS-Rs Potentially with the AeroDisks, I love Group B and the aerodisks are pretty neat, and different than typical wheel choices.

But of course I am open to opinions and experiences with wheels.

Ive got a set of KW V1s on the way.

    Thanks!

I only have experience with the OEM alloys... besides, wheels seem highly subjective! Would like to see pictures of your car though!

I have 19's and been more then happy with my choice. But 19's need a 35, 30 tire ratio to fit the e39. It does impact the ride some and YOU Must be ever alert for pot holes and the like.
Even expansion joints in the road can be horrible. For a daily I would stick with 18's, tons of cool wheels to pick from and some great tire choices also.

hey ruckus! Welcome to the fray...

You may be using your original wheels for your winter wheel and tire set but if not, hit me up. I have a set of 16" 5-spoke Borbets that I'd let go purty cheap. The tires should be replaced, but a 225/60-16 snow tire is def the weapon of choice for winter service. I've run some natty 235/34-17 snows, but the 16's actually cut through better. These are e39 fittment too, so no centering rings needed.

I'm in Canton and might be able to meet you one day as well. Again, shoot me a PM or a note if that sounds like something you'd be interested in. It would also keep your OEM's from suffering through the elements.
