Theres no kit to mount this, older, D1 procharger to the LSX platform, so i made my own adapters.

The procharger was still too large to fit, so i decided to notch the faux fender wheel out for proper space fitment.

Pulled the procharger assembly off to do final torque, paint, and installation of parts. The power steering reservoir has been highly modified and extended to insure the ability to fill the system without funnels and frustration. The extension housing has also been tapped and plumbed up to .5" for the return of fluid from the supercharger. The superchargers' bearings and gears will be lubricated with cooled ATF fluid fed from the power steering system. The system will feed the supercharger on a tee and return the remainder of the fluid back to the lower portion of the reservoir to feed the rack and continuously feed back into to the cooler and top side of the supercharger.

Upgraded from plastic to metal pullies as well as upsized the diameter to put more tension on the belt. Also created the charge pipes and the cold air intake.

Started sorting out the wiring for the engine bay. Deleted the rest of the BMW side DME and trans computer, routing the correct lines to the GM side to power that PCM and fuse box. Repinned the GM Pcm to convert to electronically controlled fans while deleting the viscous fan.





Installed 20mm spacers on the front and 25mm spacers on the rear. I think this is the setup i want to run. Itll also let me run my brembo brakes with the OEM 20" rims

Been some time since ive thrown up an update.

Charge pipes have been painted and installed.






Found the engine vanity covers that i wanted to keep the engine bay looking a bit on the OE side.

Upgraded and upsized the tensioner pulley and idler pulley that was dragging.

52mm TiAl blow off valve and supercharger springs installed.

Picked up the double din for the e53 and obd2 converter with torque app.

More fit and finish happening. Cut up a lot of the plastics for the vanity cover. The cowl had to be heavily modified as well to fit the new engine. The wiring is 95% done, just waiting on the new arduino to come in and fit to the engine bay. Had an issue with the power steering pump going into full time relief. Found a piece of plastic in the pressure valve. Removed the debris , polished the valve and shimmed the spring. Next to fit the engine oil cooler and the new transmission cooler. Also had the 105amp alternator take a dump on me so i installed the 145amp from the escalade.

Awesome stuff, I want the same head unit. Are those rad fans from amazon? I have two 80w ones from amazon that look just like those. How good of a job do they do coolin down the v8? I haven't tested mine out yet.

Theyre just the generic ones you can find on ebay and such. I have them on my 360ti as well and they work fine. ive ran them from ohio to death valley and through the mountains with zero issues.

Picked up the LCI n62 radiator assembly. Upsized the capacity of the radiator and installed an oil cooler. Ver happy with the new setup

I noticed in another BMW E53 build you commented the below

It is easy to keep 4x4. I wouldnt keep AWD, id do the 4x4 push button transfer case and front standalone differential from the silverado. itll fit with custom axles very easily

Would you start off with a 4x4 E53 or would it be easier to start with RWD and do the AWD from scratch? Obviously, just a thought experiment but man...an LS swapped 4x4 E53 would be a badass kid hauler. I have an E61 right now and know how tied together everything is in that car. Would be curious if the E53 systems are more independent.

All X5's are AWD. Thats what the X stands for.
