Hey everyone, I've done a little vinyl work on a few simple pieces of trim, and I get the "jist" of it. I'm not an expert by any means, but I'm sure I could take my time and eventually do a car without too much waste. I wanted to know if PPF is worked with the same skill as vinyl. I you can install PPF with quick detail spray and squeegee out the liquid (unlike with the vinyl I'm using), but is the process basically the same?

I'm not pro, but have some experience. However I'm also not really good with vinyl .
It is good to have some practice before attempt to install on large surfaces.
Detail spray will not work, in most current PPF glue get activated by alcohol, so you need a make correct mix for installation which is also might depends on brand.
Also, you have to apply it pretty quick once detach from linear, and try to apply correctly first time, yes, it is possible to take it out (while film curing), but depending on color of your vehicle, it might left visible marks of glue between film and paint.
When I attempt to do this first time, I got bunch of dirt under film, even everything was seems clean.
I was practiced with hood (sure not full), finished with cutting new piece.
Good Luck!
