Hello people!
I really need help, I have a BMW E39 540 MSport 2000, I noticed that the former owner changed the EWS and DME and put in an X5 E53, the car starts and works normally despite having a lot of recorded errors.
I already work with NCS and INPA and Winkfp, I would like to enter my VIN number and tell him that now is an E39 ... lol
can you help me? This kind of work I didn't do and I'm afraid of messing with EWS and my car won't start anymore!
Thanks
Flavio
You cannot change EWS vin with NCS or INPA. That would be only with programmer tools. If done correctly, it will not affect anything with starting. It doesn't go by vin, but rather ISN numbers.

Thanks for the feedback!
Can you tell me a cool program to do? I have the AK90 and Tool32 would be possible with them?
In short, then! Can I programmatically change the EWS VIN and my DME without interfering with the rest?
I have successfully updated the vin on my EWS by doing a read, modify and write on the AK90 tool but have not had success with Tool32 updating my Vin.
Thank you!
I will do the test and put the result here!
