So I plan to retrofit cruise control in my 10/2006 BMW e91 tomorrow. The great article (linked at bottom) says to add $540 to the VO, write to the FRM and CAS, and code the whole car. I think I know how to modify the VO thanks to the great article in the second link below, however it makes no mention of coding the whole car. Is this necessary and what exactly does it mean? I've read that it means I need to upload a blank (standard) .man file to all the modules, but I'm not quite sure how. Any clarification is much appreciated.
Cheers,
Matt.

Yes, you have to run the sg_codieren job (default coding) to all the modules in the car after making that change. Technically it will be necessary to code just 1-2 modules with the new default settings, but it's ok to do all.

Thanks for the reply. Just clearing up, because I really dont want anything to go wrong, I add to the VO, use FA_WRITE to write to the CAS and FRM, then change the jobname to sg_codieren and click exucute job? Is it that simple? Sorry for all the stupid questions!
Cheers
