aftermarket transmission filters 06 X3

Changing transmission fluid in my 06 X3 with GM 5 speed automatic. I bought 1 filter at autozone, the lipseal does not fit, it is too wide of a diameter. I bought an APS filter on RockAuto, it's lipseal looks similar. The throat of the aftermarket filters is slightly wider than the OEM that was removed. I know this because the lipseal slides onto the OEM throat much easier than onto either of the aftermarket units. I am now going for an OEM unit from a local dealer, or from ECS tuning. The lip seal issue has been very frustrating and seeing the slight difference between OEM and aftermarket is a downer. I wish I had left the original Lip Seal installed, hindsight is 20/20. What a pain this has been

I would suggest getting your parts from the dealer, ecs, fcpeuro but other than maybe oil I would steer clear of auto zone
