Are all e90 body Wiring Harnesses the same?

Im wondering if all e90 complete body wiring harnesses are all the same from the N51 N52 and N54? RealOEM gives me multiple part numbers for each vehicle, that are all the same. (I had to take my E90 N52 328xi in for service, they stated I needed a new wiring harness). Bmw stated all harnesses are different from year to year model to model. So I guess im wondering if they are blowing smoke up my ass or if in fact that is the case. Anybody have any input?
