That says it. I filled up today when the gauge read 1/2. I let it fill until it clicked. I then looked again and it said 1/2 again. I really don't like not knowing how much is in the tank. So, where and what should I be looking for to fix. Thanks.

Both sides of the tank have fuel level sensors in them. If one fails, you get inaccurate readings since they are connect together.

So do I have to change both sensors to fix the problem. Everyone says 8's have two of everything, so this also?

What you need to do is see which of the two (or both) are actually not working. My previous 850 had a broken wire on the rheostat on the driver side sender. I reconnected it (soldered) and it working perfectly again. Don't just start replacing things, it gets expensive fast.

What is the location of these units? Underneath the rear trunk pad, under the rear seats,?
