WTB E24 635CSi

Hey all,

My previous car (Volvo C30) was totaled this past winter and I'm now in the market for another car & I'm hoping to find a manual E24 635CSi.

Under 100k miles would be preferred, and I can go as high as 15k max. I'm in Los Angeles but willing to also have a car shipped if it's what I'm looking for. Looking for something as original as possible. Number one preference is a manual, followed closely by mileage.

There is one listed on CL in Ann Arbor, MI that I've had my eye on. A little over 100k miles, but it's a manual and the price is pretty nice.

I've seen this one as well, my only concern is the rust pitting on the rear wheelwells. It seems like this might evidence more rust deeper underneath the car that isn't pictured. Any thoughts on this?

Being from MI, rust doesn't scare me, but I understand the concern in CA. The wheel wells shouldn't be a tough fix, as long as it's only surface-level. But it does beg the question about if the rust goes further underneath. Supposedly the vehicle was not driven in winter, which is a good thing, obviously.
Perhaps the seller could provide some under shots? Or at least a confirmation of whether there is rust underneath?

I have decided to sell mine but have not posted it for sale anywhere yet. '85 635CSi Euro in good mechanical and cosmetic shape. Asking 15K OBO. Located in Fort Worth TX. Here is a link to so photos and a video of the interior. Extensive mechanical refresh done over the last 3 years with a view toward making it a reliable driver. Note that the Odometer is in Kmh with a custom speedometer face that includes mph. Recaros are out of a E21 and have recently been rebuild with new leather (ardvark racing), foam and misc plastic pieces (like new).
