I'm researching a DSC code (5E38) and some people seem to think it's a yaw sensor under the front driver seat. On FCPEuro it states this is part #34526764018 and it costs a whopping $676 (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...or-34526764018)!
So I'm looking for a used option and Mini Cooper part #34526764018 keeps popping up in my searches (for $30). Same part number, looks identical. Any reason why this wouldn't work? Is it common for mini's and bmw's to share parts and are they generally compatible?

Mini is made by bmw. I’m very very very surprised this is the first you’ve heard of this.

Yea, I knew there was a connection and thought BMW made Mini's but I was so confused that the seller didn't list the BMW compatibility (because wouldn't this increase the value of the part??) that I had to make sure I wasn't missing something. Anyways, thank you for confirming!
