    R12 expansion valve?

I cant find a source for an R12 expansion valve, they all seem to be R134. Anyone had recent success finding one? autohausAZ tells me their 64 11 1 363 581 and 64 51 8 391 209 valves are both R134. I installed a new valve about 5-7 years back, it's a R134, and is leaking at the plug. I'd like to replace with an R12 if I can because the R134 did cause the evaporator coil to ice over at times. Worst case I can replace the o-ring on the original R12 valve, but would rather have new. Thanks for any help/advice!

Aside from seals internally it deals with pressure so r12 which is long gone, the r134 lasted quite a long time replace it with another one

I will look to see if I have one laying around.

Does your 745i have the late evap core or the early? Fittings are different sized.
    I make E23 parts.

Thanks Eric. Not sure about the evap core. Car is a 5/85 build with the original core. I'll post picks if you can tell from the image. Else I can take some measurements. I am skeptical that replacing the o-ring in the original valve off the car. There is some corrosion that looks like it might have been leaking. Have a look at the pic and tell me what you think.
    Thanks!

I think I found a used one, came from my Ljet.

Cannot promise it works, but free to you if you want it.

I have one coming out of my 1984 733i that definitely works and I know this car held pressure for years w/o losing any. I would need a junk valve shipped to me to drill out so I can use my pulsating Hecat machine to flush through the evaporator core though.

Thanks Eric, Thanks Steve ! I'm on the road (Dallas actually), so cant ship a replacement yet. I'll PM to work out details. Maybe between these two and my original I can figure out actual differences between R12 and R134 valves and come up with a solid R12 valve. Thanks for the help!
