hello, this project is about the engine swap from a bmw 335d 2010 to a bmw e31 840ci whose engine is broken
I have owned this e31 for 9 years 2 years ago the distribution jumped while driving
I decided to put the e31 aside as I wanted to restore it completely but now it was no longer certain if I wanted to continue I came out about 6 months ago on a burned-out bmw 335d from 2010 whose engine and gearbox still fully worked and the car had driven only 87xxx km.
we're going to start removing the old heavy v8 with the gearbox

Heavy V8? That V8 weighs half what that iron slug diesel weighs. You’re in for one hell of a treat pulling that diesel out.
N54 is a six cylinder gas. Do you mean the N57? The N57 weighs about the same, give/take 50lbs, as the old M60 from what I'm reading. What I'd really like to know though is how you're going to control the N57?

buzzboy, you're not correct. N54 is a 3.0 I6 biturbo petrol engine, N57 is the 3.0 I6 diesel engine.
B3x engines are 3-cylinder
M/N/B4x engines are 4 cylinder
M/N/B/5x engines are 6 cylinder
M/N/B/6x engines are 8 cylinder
