    EWS Difficulty (3 posts combined)

I have a 2000 528i with the strangest EWS. If I want it to start it I have to remove the connector and plug it back in to get it to crank. I recently took it apart and was checking continuity from the ring antenna to the EWS at the board. At this point it would not crank. While I was doing this, I had the key all the way on, and I heard and felt the EWS relay click. I tried it and it started right up. After that, it started 10 to 20 times all day. The next day, back to no crank. Has anyone ever ran into this? I'm going to replace the EWS just to be done with the problem, but I wandered if this is a problem someone else has ran into?

    Outlet coolant temp sensor

I have a code for the "outlet coolant temp sensor ". I'm not sure where it's at. Would someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

    MAF Sensor

My 2000 528i is throwing code for o2 sensors. This was happening after I drove it for a couple miles. I finally found one of the problems. Whenever I would tap the MAF sensor it would almost stall and the code would come back for the o2 sensors. Should I replace the o2 sensors and the MAF together? Or is the MAF causing the o2 to momentarily malfunction? I appreciate the advice.

X3, saw your post the other day about not knowing how/where to post. The Hangout (above) isn't the place.
Your general questions about repairs, etc go in this sub-forum.
