White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.

Why would anybody respray Boston car black?

Has anyone ever called up a craigslist ad and offered the seller half the asking price and been successful?
Its mind blowing the offers I get.

When I was selling my e63 M6 (asking was $24K back then) I had a guy call me and ask if I would take $2k down and monthly payments of $500 for the car. That was an awkward conversation.

Well, the Coupe is still here. Had one guy who gave me a deposit and then backed out on me a week later. I gave him his money back, didn't feel like dealing with the hassle.
So I still have a Coupe that needs a loving home.
I polished up the headlights, but I'm temped to throw in those perfect SONAR headlights I have in the parts room.
Then there is the headliner that's falling down, so I pulled it last night and am re-doing it so its minty fresh.
The driver's door handle was ripped off because someone pulled off the door panel and didn't put the screw back in so it was yanked right off. I am rebuilding the structural part of the handle. Its not that hard, but I guess its the little things that people notice.
The brake pads are new, the fluid was all flushed out, and it has a new water pump.
I am also installing a Euro Dash and glove-box and shampooing the carpets.
Airbag light was surprisingly caused by the driver's side belt tensioner, which I have never seen before. Its always the passenger side in my experiences.
I have that re-soldered and no more airbag light!
Rear tires are new, the front tires can be replaced for another $200.
I am not sure if I should put in a new aluminum radiator, do you think it will add $300 of value to the car?
I will raise the price accordingly to reflect the updates.

Would you sell me the euro dash? Your not gonna get value added onto this car by installing it
Anything I have we could trade for??
was just going to ask the same thing about the euro dash and glove box.

Well, I don't have a tan glove box or driver's side panel to replace it with so I'm kinda SOL on the euro dash parts. I haven't even taken the bubble wrap off them yet to inspect them.
I swear the bots are getting better, I keep getting emails from what I assume is a bot to go to vtreport and then they told me that they couldn't get a loan without a report. Turns out its scam city, because who gets a loan for a 20+ year old car with almost 180k miles on it.
I'm kinda kicking myself for not knowing it was a scam right away, but you just can't list a car for sale without the scam artists coming out.
Apparently this site gives commissions to people who refer cars for history reports.I'm interested and ready to come , see , test and make a deal for it .
I need something rather soon , but i would like to make sure you/vehicle and all is ok and legit.
For that i need a vehicle Title report ,don`t send an old one or get something you find , get me the report from https://www.vtreports.fake is what my loan officer asked for and needs .
I'd just feel safer about getting a vehicle with an official report because I've had friends and family get shafted before.
Today I learned something new.

I'd pay for stock beige pieces if thats all it takes...
Just makes me sad thinking those nice euro goodies may end up on a car where someone doesn't even know (or care) that they are different than stock. I just finished my 2 year pedal dilemna so time for me to finally button up the driver's trim and I figured its a perfect time for the euro piece...

Well, we can always work something out on the Euro Dash situation. I still need seat covers for the Press car.
On another note, I took some time this morning to polish up the Black Coupe. Meguiars 105/205 two step, followed by waxing.
Slapped in some new roundels all around from the parts room and things are coming together nicely!
The headliner is at the upholstery shop now.
The interior is going to be really sharp when it comes back.
All this work and I should probably have the wheels re-sprayed, right?

The project continues. Going to have the front bumper sprayed black next.
I also have located some perfect replacement seats to go in the coupe!
This project is really coming along.
With the new Alcantara headliner and the new seats this is going to be one sharp interior!

What's wrong with the old seats? If the bottom on one is still good and heated, I may be interested.
And do you have the part numbers for the eruo tan piece? I'd like to pass them along to a friend who is looking for the parts for me so I can verify they are correct before purchase.

Well, this is the day I saw goodbye. I am honestly surprised at how nice everything turned out. I have been doing little fixes to Coupes for two decades now and it was a lot of fun fixing up everything on the coupe.
Turns out the water pump had too much play in it, so I swapped that out and threw in some new belts and hoses while I was at it. Then of course the radiator return line was brittle and crumbled in my hands, so I made a new one out of copper pipe and painted it black. It looks pretty sharp.
New brakes, all new fluids, steam cleaned the carpets, replaced the headliner and seats and its now a real head turner.
This coupe has a long life ahead of it!

Thanks man for the smooth sale. It has a nice future ahead of it.
Glad this was purchased by someone who has stopped in here. Might get to see it around Raleigh when visiting family too.
Any chance you had the part numbers for the Beige euro dash panels written down?

When they show up from Germany, I'll let you know.
Otherwise, you can look them up on REAL OEM.
