High Pitch whistle, No carb cleaner leaks ANYWHERE.

This vacuum is causing misfire on 4 cylinders and it is loud under acceleration. Can't find the source with the hood up, sprayed every gasket and hose I could find. No smoke machines available near me.

With a rubber hose (fake stethoscope) behind the Intake manifold (bottom of CCV) I hear very slight wind, I cant spray underneath and upwards there but everywhere else around the housing seems sealed.

Is this normal? Or should I go ahead and replace the CCV. I've read it can be the source of many problems when clogged or leaky. Any tricks for diagnosing that doesnt require a BMW manometer I can't seem to find anywhere online?

Pull the manifold and change all gaskets including front and back.

High pitch whistle is probably CCV, the problem with that that only genuine BMW works long term. I agree that I'd change all the manifold gaskets as well, not a big job and worth it.

Pull your dipstick to see if you hear gurgling and if there is a good deal of suction when you put your finger over the hole.
