    840ci as a Daily Driver?

After asking if an 850 could be used as a Daily Driver I thought I would stick my oar in on the 840ci:

nice video Timm, and no rain or snow in the UK this time !

Of course , E31's are nice comfy cars to drive , even to look at . ( except maybe the MPG … but that's the same with modern powerful cars , i couldn't get my new 650 under 12L/100Km )

My thread about "daily 850" was about my own experience…. sadly , with a lot of issues. Most wil be due it was a car that had little to no use in the past years… i think. ( and hope )

But lucky there is this forum and you're site with mega info to help in searching and solving problems.

I bought mine as a hobby car , i do like making repairs ( retired, so killing time with my favorite hobby ) , but if i had bought it as a daily… it would haven been long time sold.

Again, i can only speak of my own experience, i'm wrenching for 40 years now on oldtimers, the E31 is "high" tech compared to older BMW's in some parts… and sometimes complex to work on. I hear the same at dealers ,( the E31 experienced mechanics are.... retired) or BMW shops, almost afraid of a 850

    not enough
Looking forward to learning about those wipers . I did know they had a pressure setting that I'm vaguely familiar with.

I love the part where you say about the slow pokes on the road... "And wont get out of the way for a superior vehicle." Amen brother...amen! Hoping to be around your neck of the woods next year. I'll have to reach out and see if I can buy you a pint...despite those remarks about working on Fords .

    Great vid Timm!
