Which harness connector CPS versus Speed Sensor

So I made the mistake of forgetting to label both the CPS and speed sensor connectors when I disconnected them from the harness and now I don't know which is which. Is there a way to tell without trying to start the car? There seem to be different markings on each plug but neither of my manuals seem to call this out.

Looks like one of the connectors (harness side) has a 4 and the other has a 6 on it. You can see this in one of the photos.

I have an M20B25motor out of an '87.

On my 86 325e the bottom sensor on the bell housing went to the back plug under tps.

Try it, if it doesn't start, it's backwards.
