    78 euro 633csi 3.2.. what can I do?

    I bought a 78 e12 chassis 4 speed manual euro 633csi with a bad body.. so I picked up and 83 rust free 5 speed bad crank car with a straight rust free body. The euro high compression m30b32 runs well and I'd like to use it.. I have to address many things to do so.. 78 harness has no o2 sensor the throttle body operates on linkage from the gas pedal... I'm sure there's more to it than that! I've ordered IE +1mm intake valves and 270 cam.. What's my best dme option, as ell at afm intake ets? I like the bunch of bananas intake, but I'm really more interested in performance!! My buddy gave me a m30b35 block, (no internals) I've read the 3.2 head with domed pistons will make a high compression stroke m30.. That will cost big $$ will the gains be worth it!

    Any help would be great!

    Rusty bodies cost big dollars. Engine internals cost big dollars. The M30B32 can be modded but you will see at best 250hp from a hot street engine and 300hp from a hot race engine. All for huge dollars.

    Or, turbo it. TCD more than likely do a 400hp kit and unlike us aussies with RHD cars, you do not have a steering column in the way.

    The engines perform well to turbo'ing. Just look at the Alpina B7's that use the B30 and B32 as a base to turbo.

    By time you splice a B32 head to a big M30B35 block you are probably looking at similar dollars to a TCD kit. So why not consider this?

    The engine build you are talking about is a waste of money that can be spent to better advantage. . Contact kbert777@hotmail.com His name is klaus and he is in LV He is one of the most knowledgable E24 guys you will find and has a e12 based 6.     Thanks Bert! I have messaged Klaus. I ended up doing a m30b35 m1.3 swap with nigher compression m90 ported head with a mild cam. My issue I believe is with my inability to find a square 12 pin c101 pinout.. using all of the information I've found the splice is working everywhere but the fuel pump and coil.. I know I'm very close!!

    Howdy Shipper! I was able to source a m30b35 for short $$ port and mild cam m90 head.. working through splice issues with m1.3 harness to my 12 pin square c101 no power to fuel pump and coil.... This is all happening in a rust free 82 e24 I found with a rod knock.

    M90 head on a B35 block ?? Let me know how that works out. Totally different shaped pistons in the B35 hope they don't crush your valves. The B35 head is the most desirous head of all. It has the largest valves of all the M30 motors and best porting. The M90 head is not a "high compression" head. The high compression in these engines is from the piston design.Let us know how your motor turns out. Maybe you have discovered something new that will benefit all.

    I still don't have it running.. can't find a square 12 pin c101 fuse box plug pin out, not getting power to my fuel pump, everything else works. the m90 head has smaller combustion chambers, when it was ported I had 74mm intake valves ground and installed as well. I was told without higher compression the high duration cam would be useless.

    Know any good sources for electrical schematics? wedophone goes back to 82 but that e28 has a 17 pin round c101

    Congrats on the engine swap. That should be good for an Alpina like 240hp when going well. A good choice. I have the 1977 633 CSi shop-work manual somewhere and am getting the wiring diagram for Bert as we speak. Need to check the garage as to where it is.

    Big cams can work well without an increase in compression. Taking 1mm off of your block (deck it) and reducing the head gasket thickness will increase compression by above 0.5. Note that cams work by letting in more air and fuel. Thus there is a larger amount of volatile mixture to be compressed and ignited. High compression just ensures you get the best bang from the additional fuel and air but is not essential. Going a 282 Schrick street cam and doing nothing else has been providing an extra 15hp to 20hp for years!
