    A/C Service Port?

Hello I took my E53 in to a gas station to charge it up with freon (yes there is a small leak that nobody could diagnose) and the tech said I need a new A/C Service Port. Are those known to go bad in BMWs?

It's just a Schrader type valve. They can leak, but they're cheap.

A small leak that nobody could diagnose? Sounds like you need to find a new repair shop. Leaks are not hard to find.

And you're taking it to a gas station to have some refrigerant put in? Maybe that's part of the problem.

What was the context (more of the back story as to how they came to this conclusion) of "you need a new AC Service Port"? Is this where they found the leak?

If you need to replace the Shcrader valve (for the suction line...which is were you connect for recharging with new refrigerant etc)...you can purchase those by finding an online vendor ...just type BMW xx xx x xxx xxx" (where x=the actual BMW part nbr) into a google search box...or order it from your local BMW dealership.

You can find the 11 digit BMW part number (to use in place of the Xs bolded above) by looking it up in one of the online part databases. It's #10 in the diagram below:
