Help with heckspoiler - can you cut it?

Hey all, I just purchased a Foha 1227 Heckspoiler from an e28 as I read a thread on here saying it would fit my e21. Unfortunately it is way too long and the curve is incorrect for the boot shape. I was thinking I could probably trim it, or section a piece out from the middle to adapt, but it feels like it may be foam inside. Anyone have any experience cutting/trimming/modifying these? Can it be done or should I just try to resell it and find something else? Concerned about cutting and finding its open cell foam inside that can’t be resealed. Thanks!

It is foam, depending on your skill with fiberglass you might be able to pull something off. However, I would sell and get an m5 e28 spoiler myself, it fits rather well. E30 ones are closer in shape overall, and someone here is bound to have an e21 spoiler somewhere
