So I noticed recently that when revving the engine, after releasing the throttle there is a stall and then the rpms drop. So it will initially drop about 200rpms(ish) when I let off the throttle, then hangs for just a second, then the rpms drop. Its really not bad but its something new to me and I am wondering if it has anything to do with the single mass conversion flywheel or if this is possibly fuel system/vacuum system related. Thanks.
The flywheel just slows throttle response a little, both when giving it gas or backing off gas, with pedal down or in neutral. A single mass fw will do this a little less than dual mass fw. Neither will cause some slow-pause-resume response.
Interesting, this didn't happen before the flywheel conversion. Maybe the new disc is sticking a little? Maybe a leaky fuel injector?
I think the dual mass is for smoother transitions when shifting. Just my opinion.
