So I bought a new transmission assuming it would fit until I got it and realized that my driveshaft has a 4 bolt connection and the new tranny has a 3 bolt connection. The cars an 86 325 base model and there both automatic transmissions. Is there another compatable drive shaft I could use. Reason for the swap is because the old tranny doesnt like reverse it just stays in nuetral.
you can use one from another automatic that uses the 3 bolt flange. you just have to check it.
its four bolt on the front end? like the guibo has 8 holes in it? that's odd. I guess I have never seen on like that. I thought all were 3 bolt.

No e30s again.
It doesn't have a guibo its just 4 bolts directly connecting tranny to drive shaft
My bimmers the base model its basically an e but it doesnt have the e emblem
Thats weird. I have never seen one with no guibo. We had three 325 base models two years ago.
No e30s again.
