2001 325CI. Fish or cut bait?

    Folks,
Have had for 5 years, but it’s had cooling issues for last 2. Been mostly a paperweight because I haven’t had time. Love the car, but need to make a decision. Considering putting some cash into it (maybe $5-7k) to get it back up to full speed. Has 240k on it, new calipers, A-arms and power steering pump. Current work list includes engine drips, power window and seat issues, and will need an interior refresh. Thoughts??

5-7k will get you a very clean 330. Unless you have some emotional attachment to this thing, cut your losses man.

There's kind of a point with these cars where you have to decide what it's going to do for you. If you want to dump a bunch of money into it because you love it and want it to feel like new then you would need to keep it for a long time to make sense. Another option is to do the minimum work to keep it running and ignore and live with it's flaws. You could then buy one with much lower mileage and baby it. Just my train of thought.
