    Question Fuel strainer "work around"

Hi Gents I am replacing fuel pumps and the strainer for the two pumps and the sensing unit are shot. I don't want to pay 80 bucks (160) for one strainer, anybody out there have a "work around" (e,g, short pieces of fuel hose that butt joint to strainer of similar size/dimension? Thoughts...besides "just pay the bucks dude". Getting the pumps out of the carriers was interesting! Puzzle! Thanks!

There are plenty of cheap universal filters, google for: in tank fuel pump strainer
you then need 2 single ones, check the inlet dia, for example https://www.amazon.com/Delphi-FS0093.../dp/B000CGFY44
    https://www.amazon.com/Spectra-Premi...D9YYNCS6QFRYCD
AIRTEX has a lot of them in different sizes and connections.
Walbro has plenty with pics and cheap https://walbrofuelpumps.com/fuel-filter-strainers.html
62 offers on Ebay when you search for: FUEL FILTER STRAINER For In Tank Fuel Pump

Are you looking for the in-tank filter that goes on the bottom of the pumps? FCPEuro has it for $14.28.

Thanks to Shogun and PabloRock. I thought the fuel pump level sending unit on the drivers side of the car had a strainer...no reason for it to have one though. It looks like the FCP Euro one is correct. RockAuto has an expensive one...

I saw that on rockauto. I just ordered a new pump a couple of years ago, and when I pulled it, noticed the strainer could use a replacing too (had never seen the unit before). Thought I found a cheap one somewhere (and they are only 30 mins from me). Also, according to their website, it has a lifetime guarantee (supposedly everything does, even brake pads and wiper blades).
