The reinforcement installation completion is getting close...long story but moving forward slowly. My 99 M Roadster will be getting the welding done this coming week, then I'll be able to begin putting it back together. I've removed ECU and coil packs in preparation for the welding so it won't start.
What would you guys and ladies do on the first startup since last November? Would there be any harm in installing the battery and turning it over a few times to get oil distributed a bit before I start it up, I assume it wouldn't turn over without the ecu?? This is probably a real noob thing to ask but i've never had a vehicle that sits like this one does so it's pretty foreign to me.
Any other suggestions would be great, obviously I'm in no extreme hurry but would like to get it back on the road before knee replacement mid July.
Thanks and hope you all stay dry, it's raining here in Indiana....go figure.

Since November? Just start it. Crank it once or twice if you want to raise oil pressure, but it should not be any problems.

Check the tire pressure and turn the key.
