I stored my 1987 325is for the winter with the intent of running it periodically to keep the battery charged. After a particularly cold few days, the battery died. I recharged it and it seems to hold the appropriate charge but when I reinstalled it, the car would not crank. The standard warning lights come on as usual but it will not crank. It also won't crank if I try to jump start it. Is there something else one has to do with an E30 when a battery is installed before the car will start? Does something need to be reset first? Thanks in advance.
no, but check to make sure your connections are good. it should crank and start.
you can try jumping form the power block by the battery tray under the hood also. maybe the fusible link got messed up in the trunk so its not letting power go to the rest of the car?
No e30s again.
