    pressure brake bleed not working

Hi folks. Just replaced the rubber brakes lies on the 98 740iL. Afterwards I hooked up the pressure bleeder and cracked open the lines - in the rear a little comes out very slowly, in the front next to nothing. Ended up having my wife press the pedal with the pressure bleeder still connected to get the air out which worked as expected. No DSC Codes on the car.

I would like to do a full flush including the ABS as the fluid looks well used.

    1) any idea why I can't do a quick bleed with the pressure bleeder?
    2) looking around folks on other chassis are doing a bleed with INPA and have brake bleed options under the Chassis->DSC/ASC menu - I didn't grab a screen shot, but that option isn't there - there are options like primary and secondary pump, intake and outtake valve.
    3) switched to ISTA+ and under service function all I have for this area is ABL search which pops a dialog to do a text search - did a text search with Procedure checked and don't see a brake bleed.

I've seen videos using DIS, which I don't have installed, and based on the write ups not sure I would like to do unless absolutely needed.

    any help would be appreciated!

    thanks

Don't know if this helps, but I just went through this with my '98 750iL. You MUST trigger the ABS pump (primary and secondary alternatively) via either GT1 (DIS) or INPA (I used INPA as GT1 wouldn't talk to my ABS module). Also, there is a procedure where you hand press the pedal 5 times for each wheel being careful not to exceed a "felt" resistance point so you don't hyper-extend the master cylinder. I also had to pressurize my Motiv bleeder to 20 psi.

Use turkey baster to remove yucky fluid from the master.
    Procedure for me was:
    Pressurize bleeder to 20 psi
Open the bleed screw using proper bleed procedure RR, LR, RF, LF
    Trigger ABS
    Pump pedal 5 times
Let it run awhile until either no more air bubbles or clear fluid comes out.
Be sure to keep the bleeder pressurized
Rinse and repeat on all 4 wheels.

Hopefully, someone will jump in here and provide a simpler solution. It's a total PITA to bleed. At least it was for me.

    Good luck!
