Transmission question

Hi, so the trans on my 2001 e38 730d failed and im looking for a used one to buy. I cant seem to find one from an e38 though. So if im not wrong, the trans on this car is Zf5hp24? Will it be the same from an E39 530d?

Well as I was driving it kicked out of gear, then it went into failsafe Mode... I tried unhooking the battery to restart everything but with no success.. As soon az i put in drive and try to go, it revs up as if im in neutral, then at some point it suddenly kicks in and goes, but soon after that it goes out of gear again and failsafe Mode is activated. I scanned it with Inpa and it showed something like gear symptom.. Cant remember exactly now.
I had done an oil and filter change of the trans not long ago, Im thinking they might have put some crap oil and that causee the problem.
In the links I found no info about the 3.0d engines, however the 4.0i seem to have the same transmission, so im assuming it should be the same with the 3.0d?

Someone else will need to help with that, I’ve just recently been starting to read on automatic transmissions and how they work.
