    NeverDone glovebox fix

Having trouble re installing my glove box after installing the NeverDone bracket. I cant seem to get the front to match up so the screw holes are flush to each other. Probably at least a 1/2" gap, so now I cant even start a screw. I looked on there website and it looks like I installed it correctly. Any thoughts or anyone have the same problem?

I don't see the problem. Your picture looks like the ones on the ND website. What is not matching up?

I cant get the glove box holes flush with the dash holes to screw the screws in. Looks like the bracket is hitting the dash and possibly the one nut on the right side of the latch

I finally got it in. I had to drill a hole in the dash allowing the right side nut to pass through. There was already hole for the left nut from factory, but not the right.

Glad you figured it out. I made a stiffener simular to the ones you can buy and it worked well. The only problem I encountered was the P.O. broke a lot of the fastener attachment points. The screw on the far right pulled through the glove box and the glove box kept dropping. I pulled out the anti-submarine plate in the door and so far all is well!

Oh yeah I didnt know about the steel plate until after I re I stalled to box. So I just tore it out last night and removed the boat anchor, yes a lot lighter. I'm in the same situation with screw tabs missing, so I'm going to fab up a steel plate maybe 1/2" wide x 12" in length to go across the entire top strip and fasten all screws through that.

I pulled the plate out of my glove box today. Not real difficult to do. Probably don’t even need to remove the box (I had mine out, but I think you could separate the pieces to get to the plate).

Sure hangs better without that extra weight pulling it down.
