Hi all - any help appreciated- each morning, for the first 3-4 minutes of my journey there is an intermittent pulsing water fall type noise from behind the dash. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks purp, will do - strange that it only occurs first thing and never later in the day
Would only occur for me on first starts on the mornings as well... Are you ever having to top off your coolant?
When filling the coolant don’t fill to the top- there is a little plunger with a float that needs be lined up

Also check the valet pan for coolant, should be able to see it with a pen light
Has a look here
And around the front near the water pump (which appears fairly new) and around as much as I can round the intake, is that where you mean? I can’t see any water.
Here’s what I see when I open the rad expansion tank - the pink residue is from when I opened it the sat I bought it and it was a bit warm and spilled some out:
Sometimes if you have a small leak, as the car cools overnight, it can suck air into the system. Then when you start it, you hear the air traveling through the system. Pink coolant? BMW's coolant is blue. Probably has some other stuff in it.

Footnote to this - post flush, successful pressure test and refill with proper bmw 50/50 the noise has gone: must have been air in the system, no leak - hooray!
Great news!
