Hello everyone so i have a little problem with my e46 the trunk warning light in the dashboard is always on. So i googled the problem and everyone said is the cables at the trunk i did check the cables and wich one was a bad i rewired but the light still comes up. The trunk works perfectly. What could be the problem what should i check next?

So i tried those still the light is coming up.
Trunk wiring is bad. Common problem. The wires break in the hinge inside the rubber bellows and short out against each other. You probably have some non-functioning lights on your trunk as well.
I checked those in the rubber and there are okay, wich were a bit bad i rewired. And the lights are working properly
