adjusting valve problem

here i am again guys. lol. i attempted to adjust the valves on my m20 engine and i couldn’t get the eccentric to move like at all on the one and only valve i tried before giving up. i loosed the 10mm nut and put my allen key in and attempted to pull it toward me to loosen it, but it wouldn’t budge. from what i’ve seen in videos it seemed to move pretty easily. any advice ?

Can you rotate it the other direction? What is current gap?

how much did you loosen it? we just did my son's car last weekend and he accidentally loosed a few too much and they spun freely. maybe you just have to loosen some more

i can rotate it in the opposite direction but i think that’ll just make it tighter. i need to loosen it

i haven’t been able to loosen it at all. i’ll try again later today

make sure you rotate the crank so you know there is no cam pressure on the valves.
