2007 X3 3.0si No Crank No Start.. Starter or?

So yesterday we went to the grocery store no problem. Today I get in my wife's X3 and no crank, starter not engaging. Nothing at all. Luckily it's in the garage. Dash lights and everything else works as to should but no click or sound when I try to crank it. So here's my thought process. Battery is a new H8-AGM with 12.6+V. Both keys worked tyesterday, today neither will crank it, although both lock and unlock just fine. No EWS codes in INPA, only what's shown in attachment. Engine to chassis ground strap is good, and I have good continuity at all ground locations. When I do try to crank it, the Daytime running lights go off but battery, oil, EML and CEL all stay on. So I'm at a starter replacement.. Does that sound right? I'm really not trying to replace it if not needed. Any way to confirm a starter via INPA? 112k miles and rust free X3. Factory Denso starter.

at first my thought was the ground strap but you took that away from me. miles between 112k- 150k good possibility it's that denso starter. but first, had the car been jumped recently? if so then check the tightness for the positive cable bolt located under the hood, passenger side....btw check the connection at the battery posts.

No jumping since we've owned it and all connections are tight including under the hood. I replaced the battery with an H8-AGM yesterday just for good measure. I might try to check voltage at the white wire at the solenoid before I replace the starter. I hate just throwing parts at something.
Can someone check and see if their DRL go off when the starter is turning, but dash lights stay on? This would confirm the ignition works as intended I think.

So a small update. Finally got the starter off. What a PITA. Bench tested and it seems to work ok....
I'm waiting on the new one to arrive, it was suppoesed to be here yesterday but FedEx was delayed. Probably will arrive tomorrow. A few things to note:
The starter white wire can be tested in the fuse box under the hood driver side (see photo). To get the starter off, you'll need a short E14 socket, I used the harbor freight flex head ratchet. Worked no problem. Removing the throttle body really helped gain some room to get the 2 lower torx fasteners on the bottom of the intake.
More updates when i get the new starter on!

Got the new starter on today and works great now. I didn't realize how slow it was to crank until I got the new Bosch starter installed. What a difference. One small note. You can get the small lower torx screw (T25) closest to the firewall, from underneath the car easier. Probably without removing the throttle body. Otherwise not too bad of a job. The crankcase vent on the back of the valve cover is best removed using 2 picks. Intake to head is 11ft-lbs.
