    E32 m30 to m60 engine swap

Does anyone know if it’s possible for me to swap m60b40 in my 730i (which now has m30b30 and has the early hydraulic brake system) and still use the original hydraulic brake master cylinder? Or do I have to get the e32/e34 v8 remote brake booster setup? I’m mostly thinking if I have the clearance needed. I know that this brake system is powerful enough.
    Thanks

Hydroboost is crap. You want the remote vacuum booster.

The remote vacuum booster is a Rube Goldberg contraption and a nightmare to service. A clear indication the car was never designed for V-8 power.
    Even worse when RHD

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue

Hydro boost is a very good system, easy to install and zero maintenance. The only issue I see would be fabricating the high pressure hoses.

Yes, hydro boost is a very good system, that is why also owners of E30 use it when they install other engines. High pressure hoses can be made by hydraulic shops, no problem, I had my ones all recrimped in a hydraulic shop for trucks, they have such crmping machines for the truck business. The standard pressure of the double vane pump is 130 bar, the original hoses were designed for 180 bar, now I have hydraulic hoses installed for 200 bar.

It’s good if you have a Peterbilt, not a BMW.
