    Xona Rotor 95xx on s54b32?

Any one tried a Xona Rotor on the s54b32?
    I’m fitting their 9569s 1.03 turbo.

was just wondering what spool up I can expect?
xona says it’s the direct competitor to precision’s 6870.

i have been running a Garrett gtx3582r gen2 with 84mm exducer on the compressor before.
made 595whp on 0.8bar boost. High backpressure already at 1.45bar.

That's a big turbo. I don't know what the spool is going to be like, but I imagine pretty laggy. It looks like it comes online at 4k, which is damn impressive for the size and the displacement of an S54. If you're trying to get close to 1000hp, go for it.

Just to give you an idea of what a 6870 does with an S54 and S52:

Some more details on that size of a turbo, plus back to back dynos and videos. you can see where the power comes on, and how it's delivered. On an S54 a 6870 does north of 1000whp at ~34psi.

Your high back pressure, what kind of exhaust do you have? Stock cats still in place? resonators?

Exhaust is a full 3.5” system catless and only 2 full flow silencers.
its also uses a really large high flow intercooler and a kakaraki full billet intake.

the backpressure I’m talking about is before the turbo. Close to 2:1 already at this moderate tune.
im not aiming at 1000whp now. More like 650whp and hope to make that at about 0.7bar with the xona due to larger turbine. But I really want a setup with a unstressed turbo for longevity of the engine.
high emap fills cylinders with hotexhaust and can be a cause for detonation. I do run e85 only.
engine is damn responsive now. The gtx variant comes on full 0.8boost at 2500rpm.

if I would see 1bar boost about 4500rpm I would be happy.

its tuned with haltech elite 2500 and uses vanos.

im getting my tial 1.03 housing fitted to my setup this week. It’s the same
1.03 casting as the xona rotor use for the 9569s also. Only the turbine is larger inside.

I now have data from the Dyno.

Gtx3584 from mamba made 0.8bar boost 2950rpm with tial 1.03 housing
xr9569s with 1.03 tial housing made 0.7bar boost at 3000rpm.

    671whp and 684wnm on 0.9bar boost.

i guess this turbo want to be in the 1.5bar area of the compressor map so with higher boost it would be even better.
but as the engine is stock I think this is the highest boost I will run.

This turbo is really really responsive. It’s hard to even tell the spool difference from the gtx35 when driving. But you really notice the stronger powerband.

0.15bar higher boost made 76whp more with the xona compared to the gtx3584r from mamba. And identical exhaust housings.

That's awesome. Can you post a picture of the dyno?

That's a lot of power in a Nissan 200sx, must be fun. That turbo has A LOT of overhead too when you want to turn up the power.

What have you done to the S54?

The links I posted show a built S54 with the same boost making 60 less hp but the same torque with a similar size precision turbo.

LOL, absolutely amazing. That car is so fast with that power level. Love it!

Wait, do you have a thicker head gasket? You're running the stock compression ratio for the S54? E85 fuel?

What rpm did he get the power and torque?
    dynograph?
My 684wnm is about 504.5ft-lb on the wheels.

Maybe he had lower boost on top?

I don't know, they didn't post the log for boost.

I think the reason you made more power is you have a higher compression ratio, they are running 10:1, and you also have a 3.5" exhaust, they are running a 3".

Still, your motor is insanely impressive.
