    Lighting Options

    Hello all,

I have those DEPO euro smiley replicas, and was looking for options for better/stronger lighting. The bulb housing is H1 (instead of 9006 from factory). I have tested Nineo LED V2 and Kensun HID 35W. I have taken some pictures below, any comments regarding the beam pattern? It seems almost as if the xenon lamp fills the projector housing better and has a wider beam pattern. The LED has better color and of course, much better power consumption. Thoughts?

    Xenon 5000K from Kensun kit:

Did you use a DSLR on manual? Otherwise comparison by pics is pretty hard as any camera will adjust accordingly. But the kids look pretty bad color wise, not very even. The LEDs seem better. I was going to put LEDs in my 7 when I had it. But the tabs on the lamps were too small and they would not hold.

I do not own a DSLR these were taken with an iphone. The HID kid does have uneven color, one is white, the other is blueish, but hey, they were free. I will be returning the 35W LEDs and purchasing the 55W version in hopes of producing stronger light. The 55W is supposed to match the 35W stock power consumption of halogen lights so it should not trigger the low beam LKM fault. I will post an update when I get the new LEDs.

If I recall, you can easily modify the LKM to avoid the fault.

There are a few write ups, many are missing pics. Maybe Shogun has a better one.
