    Need help. P0727 and P0335

So driving my car yesterday and suddenly there was a bang, my trans goes into limp mode, my speedo drops to 0 momentarily and then recovers. My ASC light and the Gear with a "!" in it light up. Running the codes I get P0335 Crankshaft position sensor "A" circuit and P0727 Engine Speed Input Circuit No Signal. Parked at a restaurant so my family could get dinner and when I started the car the codes were gone. But about 10 miles into the drive home they came back.

I put a new crank position sensor in, and drive it about 30 miles. all was good. Or so I though. I took it out today and got new tires all around and on the way home it did everything again. P0335 and P0727.

What else should I look at?

What brand of crankshaft position sensor did you install? Aftermarket sensors are notorious for failing.
