    2010 528i for sale

I am looking at a 2010 528i Monday (I live 2 hours away or I would do it today) and I think it may be the vehicle for me. It's funny. Just a few months ago I really disliked the look of the E60 models. However, after seeing one in person it totally changed my view on them. I think they are beautiful cars. The car is dark blue and has 102,000 miles for $8,999. Clean carfax, looks like oil was changed regularly, brakes, tires, etc. Electrical was serviced once. 2 owner car. First owner had it on a lease for 9200 miles a year for 3 years, then the 2nd owner drove it 11000 miles a year. Didn't see any glaring issues on the carfax. Strut mounts replaced at 59,000 miles. Hood adjusted at 28,000 miles. That's about it besides the previously mentioned maintenance.

I like the look of this more than the E39 and I'm happy to read that the E60 doesn't suffer from the same brittle plastic cooling parts that the E39 did. Is that correct?

A big reason I want the 528i is one less thing to worry about since it's naturally aspirated. Besides, I think the engine would sound better being NA. I get that BMW's typically need water/fuel pumps replaced, spark plugs, etc. more often than your basic Toyota, but are all those relatively easy to do?

Anything else I should know about? It's going to be my DD and I estimate I drive about 16-18k miles a year. Would love to get 3 years out of this.

No this is not correct, plastics are also a an issue with the E60 after 100000 suggest to replace coolant tank, pump etc. As preventative repair.
Other than that the 528 is pretty bulletproof

Water pump is electric and pretty expensive so start fishing for a good deal on an OEM pump as soon as you get the car. It is not very easy to replace and you should replace the thermostat at the same time. You have to replace them from below so much easier if you can get it on a lift. There is a plastic hose connection on the front of the engine that connects a hose to the thermostat. That plastic part degrades from the inside and pieces will end up in your thermostat. There are nice CNC replacements for this part on Amazon that work very well.
