    Is This How BMW Operates???

My dealer located a car for me. They tell me the car is in Dallas. It was supposed to go to Atlanta but that got cancelled, thats how my dealership got it.

So my dealer tells me that BMW is sending the car back to the Distribution Center in Baltimore first. My dealer asked if they could just send it to us here in Evansville. BMW said no. My dealer asked if they could come out and get the car. BMW said no.

So the car has to be transported from Dallas back to Baltimore and then from Baltimore back to Evansville. Probably at least a two, maybe three week delay in the car getting to Evansville.

Is this type of thing normal from BMW? Seems like a complete crock to me.

Sounds like there is a problem with the car and they need to fix it.

About two weeks ago my dealership told me it would take about two weeks to get the car from Dallas to Baltimore and back to Evansville.

Now, almost two weeks later, they tell me the car is sitting in Baltimore waiting to be put on a truck to come to Evansville. And that it will take another 7-10 days.

All i can say is that so far BMW royally sucks. I hope they dont expect me to fill out any surveys for them.

And if anybody from the dealership reads this that is fine with me.

So I'm curious what the dealership has actually done to upset you. It sounds like this is a BMW NA problem and you should try to contact NA directly. Sometimes it helps to put yourself in the other guys shoes for a second, and ask yourself what information or action they can do to help you. Obviously getting the car to you faster would help, but if it isn't the dealers truck, and they are providing you with updates as requested, I'm not sure what the dealer is at fault with.

It should not take three weeks or more to get a car from Dallas to Evansville.

The dealership is the contact point even if it's bmwnas fault, the dealer has to handle it and handle it correctly. who knows how well there doing that, i hope their giving him regular updates and hopefully he has not had to call multiple times to get info on it.
