    Cam sensor hot start issue

Hello every body , my e38 m62 non vanos , after timing chain replacement and plate holding cps had replaced , the car started fine when cold , but failed to Start when the engine is hot ( took 2-3 times to start after stalling , sometimes 8 times when the weather is very hot )
The timing is correct , checked 2 times
The engine shows cps code when hot or warm and the oil lamp also flashing at idle when temp > 100 c
    Any suggestion ??
I thinking of the space between the plate and the sensor

When the engine is hot try starting the engine with the camshaft sensor unplugged from the wiring trunk - if it still takes a few cranks to get it going then the problem isn't the sensor. The M62B44 should start and drive (with a little less power) fine without it connected.

If it still took a few goes to get it started with the CAMshaft sensor disconnected then you can discount that as the problem. Hot start problems are often the MAF - especially if it has been swapped for an aftermarket version.

Today the condition occurs at cold start ( the cps unplugged) , I have 2 maf sensors each of them is Bosch , the problem is the same .
Why there is cps code ?

Best place to start is with diagnostics = this will show if you have problems with the MAF or vacuum leaks:

It’s old post Timm about cam sensor error 112 or code p0340 , I do guides replacement for m62b44 non vanos , after one month I noted there is cutout when starting the car it occurs 3 -10 times depends on how engine is hot . Never occurs at cold start , replaced 3 sensors maf , the same , review the timing , it was correct !! No other error in the parameters of inpa , no vacuum leaks

I'll need to see a few pages of diagnostics, analogue values 1, 2 and 3 plus smoothness (or roughness depending on INPA version).

Yes, no use to me if you have just cleared adaptations, do the same after a week's running and don't reset the adaptations this time!

Ok sorry for that , but I have high idle , which I think caused by poor adaption , it later appears duo to clogged icv , the additive value I think -9 , multi -1 bank 1 , bank 2 o2 sensor is faulty.
