I'm not 100% on this so sorry for a tease but I'm considering parting out the 79 320/6 Baur. More of a feeler to see if the demand is enough for a part out. It's an early model, grey market baby six Baur. It does have euro bumpers but they were reinforced with steel.
The killer for me is the rust.
The rust is down the windshield, in both rear wheel wells and up the strut towers. There's also rust that creeps from the wheel well to the back seat area. Significant rust down both front floor pans and down the frame rails. I believe these are the structural rust areas.
There is rust on the front quarter panel and down the trunk and in other parts of the engine bay. A few brake lines are toast. Engine hasn't ran in 20 years.
I was hoping to turn her in to the rat rod driver but the more rust I find the less inclined I'm to do so. I would have to carve out a good straight e21 to fix her and so far nothing affordable has fallen on my lap.
At this rate I have zero qualms just keeping her in the garage and keeping her on a rust maintenance lifestyle. Also thinking of getting the engine turning at least for fun and to see if it's working condition.
So I'd consider letting go of the entire car to someone who wants to do the repair or parting out the requested bits, like the euro pieces.. I need to keep a few parts since it's an early that matches my early. Otherwise I hope things like the Baur top can go to a good home.

Maybe the pics are too many or too large. Having a hard time posting here so I'll do an album and keep adding to it.

Can you graft that Baur roof onto a much better e21 shell?
My understanding is Baur did quite a few reinforcements and it's not quite a chopped top.
