    M52B25 in a jeep

Im going to install my now wrecked 1997 e39 523i sedan's engine in a jeep and need help with wiring. Does anyone know what wires are not needed and needed in the harness to run and drive the engine and trans?

Idea being the operative word in the phrase.

Intriguing idea, but come on, resize your pictures. I mean my monitor isn't 4600 pixels wide, nor 16MP overall. I might not have a super fast connection, but it's not slow and it took forever to load. It's not hard to resize pictures.

Anyway, griping aside, I like the idea. I know a guy who put a 2.5 M50 into a Land Rover Discovery I think it was. He had the advantage, not accidental, of the Land Rover having a ZF4HP22 transmission. So he was able to use a BMW bellhousing (I'm not sure, either M20 or M50) which bolted to the ZF tranny which made things much easier. He said it was good, but a little short on torque, understandable since he replaced a 3.5/4.0? V8 with a 2.5, 6 cylinder. My guess is a 2.8 M52 or M52TU would have been great. We didn't get the 2.3 here so I don't have a feel for what it drives like.
