Thought I posted this already but can't find the post nor any others that address my problem- '04 325it, just bought used with 39k miles on it. The air vents are blowing very warm air- not hot, but very warm. Previous threads said to pinch off a heater control valve hose, which I did. It made no difference. A/C blows fairly cool when I turn it on, and the center vent is about the same temp as the side vents whether it is on blue or red dots. I am hoping this does not involve digging under the dashboard. Anyone have this issue before??

Hmmm, the only thing warming the air is coolant flowing through the heater core. Are you sure you clamped off the correct hose? Is the recirculate button in the “M” mode? The recirc system can be “off,” “automatic” and “manual.” Set it to off (no LED illuminatesd).
Are you aware of the stratification thumb-wheel on the center vent? It controls the temp of the 4 dash vents independently of the floor and windshield vents.
EDIT : oops, glossed right over the mention of blue and red dots, however, I'm pretty sure that the thumb-wheel controls ALL of the face vents on the dash, not just the center vent. Does the wheel feel like it's connected? I have heard of the cable breaking or disconnecting.
